Machinae Supremacy!
I've just obtained the Album Deus Ex Machinae by Machinae Supremacy. It's great (though I only have listened to 4 tracks so far). :D
Machinae Supremacy is a swedish alternative rock band which combines heavy metal music with game music of e.g. an old C64 - they call it SiD-Metal (SID is the sound format used by C64, Amiga, Atari...)

For more C64 goodness (mixed with soft rock/pop) check out http://www.pornophonique.de/. They like to play ASCII-art pr0n on their concerts, thus the name. I think.
Err... just had a look at the website; Of course I'm wrong. It's "Gameboy meets Lagerfeuer", so it's not an original C64 SID, but quite like it.
